Overview

Command & Control (Tags) is a new addition to the Command & Control suite designed to help Franchisors maintain consistency and control across their franchise network. This feature specifically focuses on Tags management.

Tags Management

When Command & Control is enabled for Tags, Franchisors can:

  • Restrict Franchisees from creating, updating, or deleting Tags.

    • This includes preventing imports from creating a Tag.

  • Automatically sync Tags from the Template Account to all Linked Accounts.

This Support Article Will Cover the Following Sections:

What is Command & Control (Tags)?

Command & Control aims to enforce brand consistency across a Franchise’s network.

Command & Control (Tags) allows Franchisors to either allow or restrict their Franchisees' ability to modify Tags. Command & Control also allows Franchisors to configure Tags on their Template Account that can then be synced to their Franchisee’s accounts if they are linked to said template.

  • When Command & Control is enabled on the Template Account, then any of the accounts linked to that template will not be able to create, update, or delete Tags by any means.

  • Note: The Command function & Control function happen in lock-step, meaning that the two operations happen at the same time and are not separate operations

Background on Command & Control Functionality

Command & Control leverages our HCP Account Cloning functionality. During the Account Cloning process, the Template Account will create a relationship between itself and the new Franchisee Account that is cloned from that template - this is known as a Linking Accounts.

  • Accounts that are linked to a Template Account are the only accounts that can be Commanded & Controlled.

  • Accounts can be linked to any Template Account within the Franchise’s Network.

  • Template Accounts do not have to fall under a specific parent account to be tied to a Franchisee’s child account.
