Campaigns: Sending an Automated Campaign

Campaigns is your built-in marketing engine, designed to turn emails, texts, and postcards into booked jobs and repeat business. With automated sends, dynamic personalization, AI-powered content, and professionally designed templates, you can engage the right customers at the right time, without juggling third-party tools. All housed in the Marketing Center, Campaigns makes it easy to save time, cut costs, and turn one-time customers into loyal advocates.

To access Campaigns:

  • Go to Marketing in the top navigation bar of your Housecall Pro account

  • Navigate to Campaigns within the left menu.


How to Send an Automated Campaign

To send an automated campaign:

  • Go to Marketing > Campaigns

  • Click New campaign

  • Scroll down on the page and select Automated Campaigns

  • Choose the targeting you’d like to have for your automated campaign. You can:

    • Click New list to create a list from scratch

    • Select an existing list, or

    • Click the More icon (⋮) next to an existing list to edit list criteria

When creating a list, you can create a list based on:

  • Customer tags

  • Location

  • Lead source

  • Lifetime value

  • Creation date

  • Last service date

  • Customer type

  • Notification

The default customer exclusions that you cannot edit:

  • Are unsubscribed/opted-out

  • Are marked as Do not service

  • Have invalid contact info

  • Were last serviced more than three years ago

When you’re ready to review your list, click Save & preview in the top right corner of the page

  • Now you can choose a campaign flow template or build your own.

  • When building your own Campaign, you can start a campaign based on either a Job or an estimate. Edit the triggers and add filters based on what is best for your campaign.

  • Choose your Early exit rule by tapping on the “Early exit” button. You can choose when customers exit the campaign, and stop receiving comms from the Campaign based on:

    • New job is scheduled

    • New estimate is scheduled

    • Estimate is won or lost

  • Edit your time delays or messages by tapping on the card you want to edit.

📌 Note: Your custom text message number must be set up before sending automated text messages

  • To add a new step, tap the Add new button, and you can add an email, text message, or time delay.

  • When you’re done editing your campaign, tap Next and preview your campaign.
