How Can I Make Service Price Adjustments to My Price Book?
At this time, price adjustments will apply to all your non-flat rate, service price book items.
To adjust prices for flat-rate items in your price book, refer to our articles on setting up material markups and modifying labor rates.
To adjust your service prices using the service price adjuster, start by navigating to the 'Price Book' tab in your Housecall Pro account. You can find it on the main navigation bar at the top of your screen or through 'Account Settings' by clicking the gear icon near your profile icon, then selecting 'Price Book' from the list on the left-hand side.
Once in your 'Price Book', click on 'Service Price Adjuster' from the menu on the left-hand side.
After clicking 'Service Price Adjuster,' you will be directed to a page labeled 'Adjust Pricing for Services.' On this page, select either 'Increase' or 'Decrease' under the 'Adjustment' section to modify prices. Enter the percentage for the change in the 'Amount' field. If you want to round prices to the nearest dollar, check the box next to 'Round to Nearest Dollar.'
Under 'Apply To,' you can choose 'Apply to All' to apply changes to all services, or select specific price book industries and/or categories by clicking the '>' icon and checking the relevant options.
Once you have set your service price adjustment and you have set whether you want to round to the nearest dollar, press the blue 'Save' button.
Next, review the price adjustment changes you plan to make to your price book services. A pop-up will appear with the message: 'Adjust pricing? This will increase pricing for the selected services.' Click 'Apply Changes' to save your adjustments.
Please note that dependent on how many services you are looking to adjust, this can take some time.
Finally, you will receive an email from notifications@housecallpro.com with the subject 'Price Book Adjustment Complete' once the changes have been made. Click 'View Price Book' in the email to review your updated Price Book.
Important Notes:
Once you confirm a price adjustment increase, it cannot be undone. Please triple check the information is correct before confirming
Please note that the service price adjuster does not provide an activity feed with prior prices. We recommend exporting your list of price book services before making changes for future reference. This ensures you have a record of your previous prices should you need to refer back to them later.
At this time, the price adjuster will only work for price book services that are not flat rate calculated
