Dashboard Overview
The reporting dashboard takes several of the most important reports from all areas of reporting and puts them into one dashboard. The dashboard makes it easier than ever to see vital business metrics and make important business decisions rooted in data.
To access the reporting dashboard click on the Reporting page from your top navigation bar.
If you're already looking at a report or reporting page, you can also select the dashboard from the left reporting menu.
Once you are in your dashboard, you can click on any of the reporting cards in the left sidebar menu to navigate directly into the report and get access to drill-down information.
Updating your dashboard
Change reporting date ranges for the entire dashboard all at once, and see metrics update instantly. Click on the 'Global date range' drop-down at the top of your dashboard to update your date parameter. Date ranges can be changed for all reports at once, instead of having to go into individual reports, filters can be added, change metrics, and record data.
You now have the ability to view your graphs by day, week, month, quarter, or year by selecting the 'show by' drop-down at the top of your dashboard.
Rearrange the dashboard reports and change graph sizes to make the most important metrics stand out. To move cards, click on the arrow icon in the top right of the report, and then drag it to a new placement.
Use the 3 dots in the top right corner of the card to increase or decrease the width of the card and change between bar chart, line chart and table view in the same menu.
Presentation Mode
Presentation mode allows users to display up to four reports on an external display. This means you can show a leaderboard or upcoming revenue right in your shop. Presentation mode can be used for any monitor or TV that is hooked up to a computer, or any smart display that can be used to log into HCP.
Click on the 'PRESENTATION MODE' option at the top right of the page and then choose which reports you would like to display.
Adding reports to a dashboard
You are able to add any report to your dashboard. Click on the 'ADD REPORTS' button in the top right corner of your dashboard to insert any additional reports to your dashboard view.
By clicking the Add Report(s) button, you will see the list of all available Housecall Pro reports as well as any custom and previous reports on your account. To save the report on your dashboard, click on the blue 'Add' button in the bottom right of the pop-up screen. Each dashboard can hold up to twenty reports at one time.
Personalized Dashboard Templates
New templates are available in your reporting suite upon reporting dashboard creation
With personalized reporting dashboards, our mission is to make reporting more accessible and useful with premade dashboards, starting with automatically adding an industry dashboard to your account. From there, you can pick and choose additional prefabricated and fully configured dashboards that make sense to your business. Templates will be available for use upon dashboard creation.
Accessing your dashboards
To access the reporting dashboard click on the Reporting tab from your top navigation bar.
Once you are in your dashboard, you can click on any of the reporting cards on the right side of the page to navigate directly into the report and get access to drill-down information.
Additional dashboards
Above your default reporting dashboard, and any previously created dashboards, there are three additional pre-made dashboards, including an industry-specific dashboard. This dashboard reflects reports and metrics that are most valuable to Pros in your field. However, as with any other dashboard, each of these premade dashboards is fully customizable.
Add a new dashboard using a template
In order to create a dashboard from one of our new existing templates, start by creating a new dashboard on any dashboard page.
In the top right-hand corner, click into the three dots to open up your creation menu, then click 'Create dashboard'.
You will now see all available dashboard templates. Click into any template or choose Create your own to start with a blank slate.
Once selected, click 'Create' to start using your new dashboard.
You can also filter the templates using navigation on the left rail on the dashboard creation page, or search for a template using our search bar.
Once a dashboard has been created, you are able to add additional reports, delete unwanted reports, rename, duplicate, or remove the created dashboard.
