How to Update When Data is Sent to QuickBooks
This feature is currently available to a select group of Pros. To request access, please reach out to Support using the Blue Chat Bubble.
Follow the steps in this section to update the synchronisation trigger - meaning the moment when the data is going to be sent to QuickBooks for the first time.
To update your synchronisation preferences in Housecall Pro:
Select Settings from the Housecall Pro navigation bar at the top of your screen.
Select QuickBooks from the left menu.
Click the Syncing tab at the top of the page.
In the new Syncing tab, you will see two settings:
Sync when job is finished - if this option is selected, the invoice from the job will be created in QuickBooks when the job status is set to Finish (this is the current behaviour of the integration)
Sync when job is invoiced - if this option is selected, the invoice from the job will be created in QuickBooks when the job status is set to Invoice.
If you would like to delay the moment when the invoice is generated in QuickBooks, simply select the Sync when job is invoiced option.
Next, confirm your selection by clicking Save.
📌 Note: If you navigate away from the page without saving the changes, the settings will not be changed.
Once the setting is changed, you should see the confirmation at the bottom of the screen.
📌 Note: When the trigger is changed, the new setting will apply to new jobs and jobs in progress that have not yet reached the trigger status.
If there are any connection issues during the attempt to change the trigger setting, the change will not be saved, and you will see the information at the bottom of the screen.
