Service Address Now Included in Appointment Texts

Customers no longer have to call and ask, "Which house?" The service address can now appear automatically in your appointment texts.

This article covers where the service address variable shows up and how to use it in your own message templates.

What Changed

  • A new Service Address variable is available for your job confirmation, on-my-way, and cancellation texts

  • Your job reminder text already supported this variable — no change there

  • If you customize your text templates, you can now add the service address variable to them.

Who Can Do What

What they can do

Any Pro who customizes SMS templates

Can add the Service Address variable to job confirmation, on-my-way, and cancellation texts

Using the Service Address Variable on the Web

Add the Variable to a text template:

  • Go to Settings, then Customer Notification Messages (or Text Messages, depending on your settings page)

  • Open the job confirmation, on-my-way, or cancellation SMS template.

  • Add the Service Address variable chip to your message body.

  • Save your changes.

📌 Note: If you've already customized one of these templates with the Service Address variable in it, that customization keeps working exactly as it did — this doesn't change anything for you.

Good to Know

  • Job reminder texts already had this. This variable was already available on job reminder texts — this update brings it to job confirmation, on-my-way, and cancellation texts too.

  • Opt-in via your template. The service address doesn't automatically appear unless it's included in your message — add the variable chip to the templates where you want it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to do anything for this to work?

  • Only if you want the service address in job confirmation, on-my-way, or cancellation texts — add the Service Address variable chip to those templates. Job reminder texts already support it.

  • The property's street address, line 2 (if any), city, state, and zip.
