Tech Leaderboard Overview
The Tech Leaderboard ranks your technicians by performance in a single table by compiling revenue, jobs completed, average ticket, conversion rate, and average customer rating. It's built for service businesses that want to recognize top performers and spot coaching opportunities without digging through individual job records.
The Tech Leaderboard requires access to Reporting in HCP and an Essentials or MAX plan.

Reading the Tech Leaderboard
Each row represents one technician. The columns are:
Technician — the technician's name and profile photo.
Revenue — total invoiced revenue from completed jobs assigned to this technician in the selected period. Uses the same definition as "completed revenue" on the dashboard — excludes canceled jobs, refunds, and open estimates.
Job count — number of completed jobs run by this technician in the period.
Average ticket — revenue divided by job count (the average invoiced amount per completed job)
Billable hours — sold or billable hours from this technician's completed jobs. Only appears if job costing is enabled on your account.
Conversion rate — percentage of estimates this technician presented that the customer approved.
Rating — average customer star rating for jobs this technician completed. Based on customer reviews left on assigned jobs.
Changing the Data Range
The leaderboard reflects whatever date range is selected at the top of the Mechanical KPI Dashboard. Change the date range there to update all leaderboard data.
Frequently Asked Questions
A technician isn't showing up. Why?
The leaderboard only includes technicians with at least one completed job in the selected date range. Try expanding your date range if you expect to see someone.
How is the star rating calculated?
The rating is the average of all customer reviews submitted for jobs assigned to that technician. It reflects customer satisfaction — not hours worked or productivity.
A technician's revenue seems too high. Why?
In July 2026, Housecall Pro enabled “Job Splits. Job splits let you accurately attribute revenue across the technicians who worked a job, so your per-tech reports, leaderboards, and average ticket numbers stop double-counting multi-tech jobs. Jobs that were created before July 2026 may not have been split, and therefore could be assigning full job revenue to multiple technicians.
Which plans include the Tech Leaderboard?
Essentials and MAX plans. If you're on a Basic plan and want access, contact HCP about upgrading.
