You can now map income accounts to Price Book items so you can understand your sales transactions for items sold on jobs. By mapping income accounts you can then analyze your income statements allowing you to find areas of improvement, including how to improve your margins.
Importing Income Accounts:
Pros who import their data and have income accounts assigned to their services in QuickBooks Online will automatically assign the income account to the service or material in Housecall Pro.
Each service or material in the Housecall Pro Price Book will include a QuickBooks Online Income account card. The card will have the assigned income account imported from QuickBooks Online.
Assigning Income Accounts:
Income accounts are assigned a default income account. You can change this by navigating to the Price Book Items service or material and clicking the drop down menu. Income accounts from QuickBooks Online are listed. Click the income account your would like assigned and press "save".
Exporting Income Accounts:
Housecall Pro Price Book items included in a job and exported to QuickBooks will include the default income account or the assigned income account. The income account is assigned to the Service in QuickBooks Online.
Creating/Editing Income accounts:
To create a new income account, you will need to add it in QuickBooks Online. The new income account will appear in the Housecall Pro income account card on an individual Price Book item.
To edit an income account, you will need to edit in QuickBooks Online. The edited income account will appear in the Housecall Pro Income account card on an individual Price Book item.

Changing and Income Account:
If you decide to change an income account on a Price Book item in Housecall Pro you can do so. However, the income account update will only appear for Price Book items used in a job from that point forward. If you would like to retro actively update the item for the new income account, you will need to do so in QuickBooks Online by clicking the box shown below.
