How to Enable Payments for Online Booking
To enable payments in your online booking flow:
Go to your Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account.
Click Online Booking in the left menu.
Select Payment options from the drop-down.
If your Housecall Pro account is not yet connected to your bank account, you will need to first complete the Connect My Bank flow.
Once your bank account is connected, you will see the options to "Require full payments" and "Require deposits."
If you toggle on "Require full payments" then your customers will be asked to pay the total amount of the booking upfront at the time of booking.
If you toggle on "Require deposits" then you will set the fixed amount (ex: $20 out of the $100 total cost) or percentage deposits (ex: 50% of total cost) that you want your customers to pay upfront at the time of booking.
Edit Your Online Booking Payment Options
To edit your payment options for Online Booking:
Go to your Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner of your Housecall Pro account.
Select Online booking > Payment options from the menu on the left.
Click Edit in the bottom right corner of the Payments & deposits section.
Select your payment option:
Require full payments
Require deposits
No payment required
Click Save in the bottom right corner of the window to confirm.
Customer View
Once you update your settings, you can preview your booking flow here.
Customers will see the payment step to input a dollar amount or percentage (depending on your configuration) after selecting their service and date.
If the payment is successful, the customer will receive an email with a receipt.
