Cancel Unpaid Jobs

Collect Payments When Customers Book Online

You are able to enable payments in your Online Booking flow to collect deposits or full upfront payments when a customer books a job. A customer has the option to not pay in the exact moment they book a job, but instead pay before the scheduled job has started. If a customer does not pay before the scheduled job, you are able to cancel these unpaid jobs.

Emails with Payment Links

When a customer fails to pay for the Job during the booking process, they will receive an email with a payment link. The customer can use this link to pay for the job at a later time.


Automatically Cancel Unpaid Bookings

If you wish to automatically cancel the unpaid jobs:

  • Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your Housecall Pro account to access your Settings.

  • Select Online Booking > Payment options from the left-hand menu.

  • Enable the toggle "Automatically cancel unpaid bookings within 1 hour."

If that option is toggled on, the unpaid Jobs will be automatically canceled after one hour, and both you and the customer will receive a notification about the cancellation.
