Managing Tags
You can now add, merge, rename, and delete tags! To access your Tags, follow these steps below.
For new users:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the left menu, under Tags & Tools.
If you're on the previous version of settings:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the Settings menu on the left.
Add a Tag
For new users:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the left menu, under Tags & Tools.
If you're on the previous version of settings:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your Housecall Pro account to access your Account Settings.
Select Tags from the Settings menu on the left.
In your Tags settings:
Click the Add tag button on the right side of the page.
The Add new tag window will appear, where you can type in your new tag name.
Click the Create tag button in the bottom right corner of the window to save.
Merge Tags
For new users:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the left menu, under Tags & Tools.
If you're on the previous version of settings:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your Housecall Pro account to access your Account Settings.
Select Tags from the Settings menu on the left.
In your Tags settings:
Select the tags you'd like to merge by clicking the checkboxes directly to the left of each tag.
Once selected, click the Merge tag button in the top right corner of the page.
The Merge tag window will appear to confirm the change and the tags being merged.
Enter the new tag name, then click the Merge tag button.
📌 Note:
Tags cannot be unmerged.
You must select at least two tags to merge for the 'Merge tags' button to show up.
Any job or customer tagged with the tags to be merged will be tagged with the new tag name.
Edit a Tag
For new users:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the left menu, under Tags & Tools.
If you're on the previous version of settings:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the Settings menu on the left.
In your Tags settings:
Hover over the tag you would like to edit and click the pencil icon that appears to the right of the tag.
Enter the tag name in the Edit tag window, then click the Save changes button.
Delete a Tag
For new users:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the left menu, under Tags & Tools.
If you're on the previous version of settings:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your HCP account to go to Settings.
Select Tags from the Settings menu on the left.
In your Tags settings:
Hover over the tag you would like to edit and click the trashcan icon that appears to the right of the tag.
In the Delete tag window, click Delete tag to confirm.
