Enabling 401k Plans

Note: This feature is only available to organizations already onboarded to the Housecall Pro Payroll product.

Navigate to the 'My Money' tab located in the upper navigation bar of your home screen. Under the 'Payroll and Benefits' tab located in the left navigation bar click on 'Overview'. If you haven't clicked it already, you will find the blue rectangle 401k notification banner at the top of the Overview page.

Selecting the 'Visit Employee Benefit' button on the right of the notification banner will take you to the Employee Benefits tab where you can see which benefits you'd like to offer to your employees. You can also access 401k by clicking directly on the Employee Benefits tab under Payroll and Benefits within My Money.

To set up 401k, you'll click the "GET STARTED" button here on the Employee benefits page. Once you select the button, you will see the message describing that Housecall Pro works with Check and Guideline to offer 401k plans. When confirmed, you will be redirected to our partner’s page where you can set up and manage your 401k plans.

On this landing page, you can view general information about Guideline and the types of plans they offer as well as pricing.

Once you select a plan and click on "Get Started", you will then be authorized to share your information stored in Check with Guideline. To continue, you must select the blue "I Agree" button at the bottom of the pop-up window.

You will then be entered into the plan setup flow where you need to enter some additional information by completing the Plan Setup and Goals section before being recommended a plan.

After selecting the plan, you will configure the plan specifically for your employees, and then the setup will be reviewed. Once Guideline confirms the plan, you will be all set.

To manage your plan, please click on the Manage button under the 401k plan section.
