What is a Broker of Record?
A Broker of Record (BOR) is the authorized representative designated to manage your workers' compensation insurance policy on your behalf. By switching to Coverdash as your broker, you're changing who handles your policy administration, support, and claims—but your underlying policy remains unchanged.

How to Transition Your NEXT Workers’ Comp Policy
Follow these steps to transition your Broker of Record to Coverdash:
Step 1: Go to Your Insurance Settings
Navigate to My Money > Insurance
Click the Coverdash Pay-as-you-go workers' compensation tile
Step 2: Enter Your Employee Classification Information
Provide workers' compensation classifications for your payroll employees. This ensures accurate premium rates based on your current workforce:
Select the appropriate classification codes for each employee role
Review estimated payroll amounts
Click Continue to proceed
Step 3: Confirm You Have an Existing Policy
On the next screen, select "I already have workers' compensation." This tells the system you're transitioning your existing NEXT policy to Coverdash:
Step 4: Provide Your Current Policy Information
Enter details about your current policy:
Your policy number
Insurance carrier
OR upload any policy or COI documents to auto-extract the information
Step 5: Submit and Wait for Confirmation
Coverdash will begin processing the Broker of Record transition.
After the Broker Transition is Complete
Once Coverdash completes the transition, they will let you know over email (this should happen within a few days, and there is nothing you need to do).
You'll be able to:
View and download your Certificate of Insurance directly from My Money > Insurance
Access your NEXT policy details in HCP
Reach your dedicated Coverdash account manager for any questions
Get 24/7 support from certified insurance experts
