There must always be at least one industry in your price book, however, you have the ability to delete categories and services within that industry at any time.
How to delete a category from your Price book
First, access the Price Book feature by clicking into Price book from the main navigation bar across the top of your web portal’s dashboard or home page. If you have a lot of features in the top navigation bar, your Price book may be nested under the More drop-down.
Delete a service category
Once you have navigated to your price book you will see a menu located on the left side of the screen, beneath a heading entitled Price book. To delete categories containing service items, ensure that Services is selected from the menu.
Your service industries will be displayed on the screen in a grid format. Click into the industry of the category you would like to delete.
Next, click on the three vertical dots located in the bottom right corner of the category you wish to delete.
Select Delete from the drop-down.
After clicking Delete, a pop-up window will appear. This will ask you if you are sure you want to delete that category and remind you that doing so will also delete all sub-categories or services under it. To proceed with the category deletion, select the oval, pink Delete button in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.
Delete a materials category

Your material categories will be displayed on the screen in a grid format. Click on the three vertical dots located in the bottom right corner of the category you wish to delete.
