How can I access job information without WiFi or cell reception?
Minimum Android app version - 2024.8.1
Minimum iOS app version - 2024.8.20
While in the field it is not uncommon to come across areas where there is little to no cell reception. Accessing stored job data will allow for the job to proceed with minimal interruption.
Before getting started:
Jobs are the only area of the app where data can be stored
Editing without cell service or WiFi connection is not supported at this time
Housecall Pro will store job data up to a pre-determined limit as to not affect the speed of the app. When the stored data exceeds the limit the oldest data from the app will no longer be stored until under the max storage limit.
Accessing stored data without cell connection:
Step 1: Before being able to view job info with no signal, make sure you open the job in your mobile app when you do have service/Wi-Fi
The fields available to store if viewed:
Date/Time of Job
Duration
Customer Name
Customer Address
Customer History

Upcoming work must have 'Show techs next job' permission enabled in order to view on the app
Open Work shows in progress work and jobs recently finished
The schedule will allow you to see the schedule blocks for jobs, estimates, and events. At this time, only jobs that have been previously opened can be clicked on and viewed from the schedule
If a job does not have stored data an error will be shown
Step 4: The job is available to view
The items listed in Step 1 will be displayed on the job details page if previously viewed on the device
Navigation to notes, checklists, and attachments will be available if previously viewed on the device
