There are multiple ways an estimate can be approved in Housecall Pro. A customer can approve it in person, online, or you can manually mark it as approved.
If you're collecting an in-person approval, you can capture the customer’s signature right on your phone!
Approve an Estimate in the Field (Mobile)
To approve an estimate in person using the HCP mobile app:
Open an estimate.
Click Approve in the action bar at the top of the page.
Select Approve an estimate (iOS) or Approve estimate (Android) at the bottom of your screen.
Your customer can use their finger to sign directly into the signature box on the screen. If needed, they can press Clear to re-sign.
Once your customer has finished signing, press Done signing.
🛠️ Pro Tip: Your customer can access your Terms & Conditions by clicking the blue link beneath the signature box.
The Estimate status will then change to Approved.
Manually Approve or Decline an Estimate (Web)
If a customer verbally approves an estimate, or decides to decline after approving it:
Open an estimate in your HCP account on web.
Click the Approval button at the top of the estimate details page.
Select Approve estimate or Decline estimate from the drop-down menu.
After manually approving or declining an estimate, the Estimate status will be reflected as Pro Approved or Pro Declined.
📌 Note: Estimates cannot be manually declined through the HCP mobile app.
🛠️ Pro Tip: If a customer previously declined an estimate but decides to move forward, you can approve the estimate manually to override their selection.
Customer Approves or Declines an Estimate
After a customer receives their estimate via email or text, they'll have the option to approve or decline it.
Once they've made their selection(s), you will be notified via the support email on your Company Profile.
📌 Note: For multi-option estimates, approving one option will decline the remaining options.
View Customer Signatures on Estimates
Mobile
To view a customer's signature on an estimate through the HCP mobile app:
Open an estimate in the HCP mobile app.
Click the Estimate button (paper plane icon) in the action bar at the top of your screen. This will direct you to the estimate preview.
Scroll down to the bottom of the estimate preview to view your customer's signature.
Web
To view a customer's signature on an estimate through the HCP web portal:
Open an estimate in your HCP account on web.
Scroll down to the Approvals section on the left.
Click View signed agreement.
