What is the Premium Reviews feature?

The Premium Reviews feature is available on all current Essentials plans and above (formerly Grow Plan).

The Premium Reviews feature allows you to do two major things:

  • Choose how you want to distribute your review requests between Google, Facebook, and your website.

  • Reply to reviews on Google, Facebook, and for your website directly from your Housecall Pro account.


Choose Where to Send Your Review Requests

With our Premium Reviews feature, you can decide what percentage of review requests you want to go to each location.

To choose where to send your review requests:

  • Go to My Apps by clicking the 3x3 square icon in the top right corner of your HCP account.

  • Select the Reviews app.

  • Click the lightning bolt icon in the Google, Facebook, or your website box.

  • By default, your review requests will be pre-set for optimization to maximize your number of reviews. To override this and set your own percentages, click the toggle next to "Override optimization and set it yourself."

  • Enter the percentages as needed. Make sure that the percentages you set add up to 100% in order to save.

🛠️ Pro Tip: If you'd like all review requests to be sent to just one review source (Google, Facebook, or your website), set that source's percentage to 100%.

  • Click 'Save Changes' in the bottom right corner of the window, and that's it!


How to Reply to a Review

With our Premium Reviews feature, you can reply to reviews on Google, Facebook, or your website. If you don't have the Reviews App enabled yet, click here to learn how.

To reply to a review:

  • Go to My Apps by clicking the 3x3 square icon in the top right corner of your HCP account.

  • Select the Reviews app.

🛠️ Pro Tip: Make sure that you have your Google and Facebook accounts connected in order to reply to all of your reviews.

  • Hover over a review and click the reply icon in the floating menu on the right.

  • You can then reply to the review from the pop-up.

  • Replies for Google and Facebook reviews will appear on Google and Facebook. Replies for reviews for your website will send your customers an email letting them know.


FAQs

How can I tell what percentage of my requests are going to each source?

  • If you have chosen to override optimization, then you will see the percentage you have set for each source in the corner of that card on the reviews app page

How does it work when my reviews are optimized?

  • By default, we will optimize your review requests for you. This means that we will send all of your customers witha Gmail email address straight to Google to leave their reviews (this is because customers need to have a Google account in order to leave a review on Google My Business). The rest of your customers will be split equally between your Facebook page and reviews that you can collect for your website.

How does it work when I set my own percentages?

  • Your review requests will be split based on the percentages you set & are based on when you hit the 'Finish Job' button.

  • For example, if you have it set to 40% Google, 30% Facebook, and 30% reviews for your website, then when you hit the Job Finished button, 40% of the time your customer will be sent a request that takes them directly to Google, 30% of the time your customer will be sent a request that takes them directly to Facebook, and 30% of the time your customer will be sent a request for a review for your website.

How can I tell that I've replied to a review?

  • Any review that has a green dot on the right side under 'Reply' has been replied to.

What does the email to my customer look like when I reply to a review for my website?

Can I edit my review reply?

  • Yes, just click the reply button again, and you can edit your reply. It will update your reply on Google/ Facebook or send your customer an updated email, depending on where the review was left.
