Add a chat bubble to your website and link it directly to your HCP account.

What is the Chat Bubble?

The Chat Bubble allows your customers to message you directly from your website, and these messages will populate into your Housecall Pro Inbox at no additional cost!

This way, customers will have an easier way of requesting quotes, asking questions, or booking an appointment.

You can add the chat bubble to ANY website you own. Simply take the following steps and you’ll get set up in no time!

Please Note: The Chat Bubble feature differs from the Blue Chat Bubble

in your Housecall Pro account.


How to Add a Chat Bubble to Any Website

  • To add a chat bubble to any website, first click on the My Apps icon (3x3 square) in the top right corner of your Housecall Pro account and click on the 'Go to App store' button.

  • From your HCP app store, select the 'Chat on your website' app by clicking the 'View Details' button, or by clicking directly on the app. This will take you to the App details page.

  • From here, you can choose the color of your chat bubble by using the color picker on the right side of your screen.

  • Next, copy the javascript snippet to the right, located under the color picker.

    • Do not share this snippet with anyone. This is only for your company.

  • Paste the snippet anywhere on your website page, except in the header of the HTML. Then, publish the changes.

  • Your chat bubble should now appear at the bottom right corner of your website.


If you have any issues, contact your website provider's help desk or customer service, and they should be able to walk you through the process.


Add a Chat Bubble to Your HCP Website (Website Builder)

If your website was created using the HCP Website Builder, you can add a chat bubble by following these steps:

  • First, click on the My Apps icon (3x3 square) in the top right corner of your Housecall Pro account and click on the 'Go to App store' button.

  • From your HCP app store, select the 'Chat on your website' app by clicking the 'View Details' button, or by clicking directly on the app. This will take you to the App details page.

  • From here, you can choose the color of your chat bubble by using the color picker on the right side of your screen.

  • Next, copy the javascript code to the right, located under the color picker.

    • Do not share this snippet with anyone. This is only for your company.

  • Next, paste your code into the “About Us” section of the HCP Website Builder and you're all set!

Please Note: If you experience any issues when attempting to add the Chat Bubble to your website, please message your website builder within the first 30 days of publishing, or reach out to our Chat Support team via the Blue Chat Bubble in your Housecall Pro account.


How does a customer contact me through the chat bubble?

Once a customer enters their name into the chat bubble, they will be able to message you. When they message you, you will get a message in your HCP Inbox, in the 'Customers' channel.

From there, you can chat like you would with any other customer. Your customer can also send you images, videos, and files directly from your website, making diagnosing the problem even easier!
