We’re phasing out the HouseCall Homeowner app (green icon) to give you a better, faster, and more secure experience through Housecall Pro.

Here’s what you need to know:
Why is the HouseCall Homeowner app (green icon) going away?
The HouseCall Homeowner app was a marketplace for homeowners to find service providers. Since its launch, we have incorporated most of its functionality inside of Housecall Pro itself so homeowners don’t need a separate app to communicate with you. The legacy app hasn’t been updated in years, and it no longer supports many tools you rely on — like Job Inbox, Customer Portal, and Online Booking.
We’re moving all Pros to centralized bookings in Housecall Pro so you get:
Real-time job notifications
Secure booking tools
Better customer messaging
Timeline
June 2, 2025: HouseCall Homeowner app is removed from App stores for future downloads, will remain active for users who already have it downloaded.
June: Make sure you are set up on the customer portal, online booking, and text messaging for getting bookings.
July: Ensure all your customers are using the customer portal or your online booking link to book with you.
September 30, 2025: The HouseCall app will no longer work for users who have it downloaded.
What happens if I keep using it after September 30, 2025?
Parts of the app may stop working, like:
Booking links
Customer messaging
Job updates
Eventually, the app will no longer open or respond.
What should I do now?
To keep things running smoothly:
Invite any customers booking you through the HouseCall Homeowner app to book with you through either Online Booking or your Customer Portal.
Make sure you have Online Booking set up.
Update any HouseCall Homeowner App links with your HCP online booking link. Here’s how you can find it.
Make sure you have your text messaging set up.
To optimize getting more bookings:
Set up Reserve with Google.
Put Online Booking on your website or get an HCP Website that includes Online Booking and Customer Portal.

What about my customers?
Homeowners won’t be able to download the HouseCall Homeowner App (green icon) after June, but they will be able to book with you through their downloaded app until September 30, 2025. You should start encouraging your customers to start booking with you via other online booking methods.
You can find what jobs are booked through the HouseCall Homeowner App (green icon) by:
Click Customers
Click Jobs
Click Filter
In Job lead source, select HouseCall App
Share your Customer Portal link with them going forward. Here’s how to share your Customer Portal link with your customers.
We’ve got a template message you can copy/paste to let them know:
"Hi there! We’re no longer using the HouseCall App. To book or stay updated, please use our new link here: [insert your online booking link] or book through the customer portal invite we sent you. We’re excited to offer you a better experience!"
